The developer of PineRidge Mountain Community is willing to dedicate to the community, “The Columbia Valley Park” consisting of +/- 22 acres of rehabilitated landfill lands to shadow LEED GOLD STANDARDS. The Park will consist of a 3-hole practice golf course, numerous pickle-ball courts with beach volleyball, a soccer field, various children’s playground apparatus and parking to accommodate sufficient vehicles for “The Columbia Valley Recreation Centre”.

“The Columbia Valley Recreation Centre” shall be a full-service family recreation center which supports the public with league and tournament play for Hockey including viewing stands, indoor soccer, basketball & lacrosse, and numerous racquet sport courts. A full-service health & exercise facility with indoor running track that is supported by Kinesiology/Physiotherapy for coaching cardiorespiratory enhancements with the SPA.

The Food Court consists of Market-Place Eateries offering interesting cuisines from numerous cultures to attract consumers to the theatre, the wedding chapel and conferences.

Currently, swimming facilities are lacking in the community. As such, both coaching of swimming skills at the 25 Meter lanes, as well as recreational family fun at the Avatar Pool with dual Water Slides (The Whirlpool) have been designed as entertainment family facilities.

And Whereas:

The developer, sees the opportunity to give-back to the community through a P3 Private-Public- Partnership.

  • The Developer provides +/- 22 acres for Columbia Valley Park to the Province of British Columbia in receipt of a grant of nine million dollars.
  • The Developer constructs The Columbia Valley Recreation Centre and dedicates both the lands and stratified title of the recreation structure to the Province of British Columbia without recovery of costs, but with with a tax receipt on the appraised value of the development gift.
  • The Developer has been asked to manage The Columbia Valley Recreation Centre for 25 years to offset the risk of operational shortfalls.
  • Public Memberships will be available for the community in various categories.
